This technology allows processors to run faster than base frequency by controlling clock rate under some constraints. This technology influences both the single threaded and the multithreaded workloads under ideal conditions.

Intel Turbo Boost being a dynamic feature kicks in when certain conditions are met; the user does not know when the system switches to the turbo mode. However, this provides a solution as there is no compromise in choosing a dual core processor. The dual core processor have more clock speeds as the large number of cores in quad means an increase in power consumption and overheating. Any idle core will go into low power state and the active cores would dynamically overclock which will eliminate any compromise. “Through the utilization of planar cell structure and Hi-K/Metal gate stack, IMFT continues to advance the technological capabilities of our NAND flash memory solutions to enable exciting new products, services and form factors.” He signs off.

The NAND joint venture of Intel and Micron, the IM Flash Technologies, is going to have samples of the 128 Gb MLC chip, in January. Mass production is expected to begin in the first half of next year. JV has increased the mass production of its 64 Gb 20 nm NAND memory, in the mean time.
