Google Nexus 7 Tablet features and details
Google launched its first tablet PC, the Nexus 7 at their ongoing I/O conference. A lot has been rumored about the price of this smart device and after much speculation it would stand at approximate $199 in the US.
The launch of this tablet had been announced back in 2011 by Eric Schmidt of Google. The Nexus 7 will have a 7 inch display screen with the latest IPS technology. Resolution will be 1280×800 pixels which is decent for a tablet in this price range. Next comes the 1.3 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor along with 1GB of Ram. This is enough to make this tablet stand apart from the others in the market.
Asus will be the manufacturing partner of Nexus 7 and this tablet will be heading for a competition with the Apple iPad and Amazon Kindle Fire. The model will be available in 8GB and 16GB variants and the latter will cost you around $249.
Another interesting feature is that the Nexus 7 will be an Android 4.1 Jellybean operated device, the first of its kind to run on this platform. United States, Australian, Canadian and U.K. citizens can order their tablets from the Google Play Store. India however has to wait a little for this amazingly cheap android tablet.
