Mercedes finally unveiled the much awaited c class in India in an auto expo last week. Mercedes’ new c-class will be a stiff competition for its traditional rivals the BMW 3 series and the Audi A4.The c-class has been one of the best selling cars from the automaker in the Indian market. Although Mercedes launched the new c-class worldwide in early 2014 but it didn’t launch it in India because the previous version was doing well enough. The new c-class cannot be labelled as a mere entry level sedan but it is much more than that. Expected to arrive in the indian market by early 2015,the new sedan will be the most affordable one in the mercedes line up.
The exterior is completely different from the previous versions with nice aerodynamics. Intelligent full LED headlamps, strong shoulder line and beautiful colours distinguishes it from the previous versions. Although most of the interior is similar to the older models but you can easily see the imprints of company’s new design philosophy in this model. The car is expected to arrive in the market by the start of 2015 with the diesel variants to be launched by march 2015.The car is expected to be priced at 41 lakhs as per the sources. The c-class may have to face some serious competition from the BMW 3 series, Audi A4,Volvo s60 and even Jaguar is all set to launch its new sedan in the indian market.
